Planning for Birth and Breastfeeding is so important, yet overlooked. Feel empowered making informed, educated decisions ahead of time. Explore your options, know your rights and be clear on who is responsible for which aspects of your care.

 

So who IS responsible?

 

YOU are responsible for making ALL healthcare decisions for you and your baby. Handing over your power does not promote safety, it promotes trauma.

 

I’ve undertaken Catherine Bell’s Birth Cartography course (see The Birth Map here) and can provide support, information and referral/connections to support you to map out not only your expected birth experience for you, your baby and your family, but contingency maps as well. Relax into the recognition that there ARE aspects of birth that are mostly in your control and for those aspects that aren’t, know that you can prepare for them too. Your decisions will affect how your birth plays out, so take the reigns. You can plan a positive, empowering and joyous birth experience!

FIRST PLANNING SESSION

Initial planning session – $200 (inc GST)

Face to face, Video or Phone appointment (up to 2 hours) providing birth planning, including:

  • Detailed consultation with discussion around birth preferences
  • Debriefing/discussion of past experiences/trauma
  • Development of a birth map with my birth template
  • Birth maps developed after appointment
  • Follow up phone call (up to 30 minutes) to discuss any additional considerations
FOLLOW UP SESSION

Follow up birth planning appointment – $100 (inc GST)

Face to face, video or phone appointment (up to 1 hour) providing additional debriefing and/or support, including:

  • Consultation with further birth mapping/discussions
  • Debriefing of birth postnatally
  • Refinement of any aspects of birth plan after final plan has been sent
  • Troubleshooting any issues that arise during pregnancy/postpartum
  • A follow up phone call of up to 30 minutes
ADD ON BREASTFEEDING PLANNING

Add on Breastfeeding Planning – $125 (inc GST;$50 discount!)

Face to Face, Video or phone appointment (up to 1.5 hours) providing breastfeeding guidance and planning, including:

  • Consultation on concerns/worries with breastfeeding
  • Discussing optimal position and attachment
  • Exploration of signs of issues and troubleshooting guidance
  • Connection with appropriate resources and assistance
  • Formulation of a details breastfeeding plan, with support networks
  • A follow up phone call of up to 30 minutes
  • Lactation support over the phone ongoing

  • Consultation on concerns/worries with breastfeeding

  • Exploration of signs of issues and troubleshooting guidance

  • Formulation of a details breastfeeding plan, with support networks
  • A follow up phone call of up to 30 minutes
  • Lactation support over the phone ongoing
  • 10% off follow up lactation consultation as required
FOLLOW UP SESSION

Follow up breastfeeding planning session – $150 (inc GST)

Face to Face, Video or Phone appointment (up to 1.5 hour) providing additional information and/or support, including:

  • Consultation with further discussion around preferences
  • Refinement of any aspects of breastfeeding plan after final plan has been sent
  • Refined breastfeeding plan compiled and sent
  • Troubleshooting any issues that arise during pregnancy/postpartum
  • A follow up phone call of up to 30 minutes
ADD ON BIRTH AND PREGNANCY PLANNING

Add on Planning for Birth Session – $125 (inc GST; $50 discount!)

Face to Face, Video or Phone appointment (up to 1.5 hours) providing pregnancy and birth template mapping, including:

  • Detailed consultation with discussion around preferences
  • Debriefing/discussion of past experiences/trauma
  • Development of a birth map using specialised birth plan template
  • Detailed and succinct birth maps developed after appointment
  • A follow up phone call of up to 30 minutes to discuss any additional considerations
